Terms and conditions
Draft — needs review before launch
This is a working draft assembled from the business's own FAQ content. It is not legal advice and should be checked by a solicitor before the site goes live.
Who we are
These terms apply to waste collection services provided by Proworks Ltd, Suite 52a, Midshires House, Smeaton Close, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire HP19 8HL. You can reach us on 07487578110 or at info@proworksltd.co.uk.
We are registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier under registration CBDU6254723.
Quotes and pricing
Prices quoted through this website are based on the information you give us — the volume or the items listed, where the waste is, and when you need it collected. A quote is valid for 14 days from the date it is issued.
Where an item is priced individually and we have not yet published a price for it, we will confirm a fixed price with you before any work is carried out.
If what we find on arrival differs materially from what was described — significantly more waste, restricted access that was not mentioned, or items we cannot legally accept — we will tell you before loading anything and agree a revised price with you. You are free to decline at that point.
All prices are shown including VAT unless stated otherwise.
What we can and cannot take
We accept bulky non-hazardous waste: furniture, general household waste, packaging, and electrical items (WEEE). Certain items — including paint, chemicals, asbestos, gas cylinders, clinical waste and tyres — are either charged separately or cannot be accepted at all. Please tell us in advance if you think any of these are present.
Access and preparation
Please make sure the route out is clear and that the van can park reasonably close to the property. Our team will not remove items that require dismantling unless this has been agreed in advance, and will not enter a space they consider unsafe.
You do not need to be present for the collection provided we have clear access and written instructions from you about where the waste is.
Changes and cancellation
You can rearrange or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the agreed collection time. Cancellations on the day of collection carry a fee of £40.00 plus VAT, because the team and vehicle have usually already been allocated and routed.
Your waste and our duty of care
Once collected, waste passes into our responsibility and is taken to a licensed waste transfer station. We will provide you with documentation recording the transfer. Please check that anything you want to keep has been removed before we arrive — we cannot recover items once they have been taken away and processed.
Liability
We hold public liability insurance and will take reasonable care while working at your property. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, or for damage that is unavoidable in removing an item through a space it does not comfortably fit through, where this has been pointed out to you beforehand.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Payment
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment is due on completion of the collection. We will issue a VAT invoice for every job.
